For a short time on YouTube, I called myself Steinway Banks. I was trying to come up with a name, more memorable than my own… Excuse the hat – it was a misplaced idea. I thought I was being original, only to discover later, after making these video clips, that lots of pianists wear hats… so now it just seemed cliché.
